Contribute

Do just want to share your experiences and expertise with others ?

If you answered yes to the above question then you are perfect. We are looking for as many people as we can find to contribute content to Ukslc.org. Ukslc.org is the Uk's only Sound and Lighting Community. Without contributions from users we can not function, we host and run the site purely because we enjoy what we do and what to provide a base for users to share ideas and expertise.

We currently achieve top rankings on Google for almost all of the reviews and articles posted on Ukslc.org and we receive around 8000 unique hits per month so you can be sure that your review will be well read.

Articles
We are looking for people to write on a whole range of topics, just take a look at the current articles on the site if you want to know what we are looking for. We will post anything that relates to technical theatre, weather it be how to wire DIN plugs or even a tutorial on soldering properly. We even accept user guides, some manuals are unnecessarily complicated, meaning a job that should take 10 minutes ends up taking 3 hours. If you think you can do better then have a go, we already have tutorials on how to use the masterpiece range and they have been hugely successful.

If you have an idea for an article then do not hesitate to contact Jim : This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Reviews
Reviews wise we are looking for people to review the kit that they have used, we are currently negotiating with manufacturers in order to get kit sent out to you, for you to review. Until we do that we really need people to review their own equipment or equipment that they have worked with. We put no limits on word count but do ask that your reviews are informative and can be of use to other people. Reviews that say "This product is great buy it now. Perfect for the Job", will not be accepted.

Mini Reviews
This is a relatively new concept that we are trailing on the forums you can find all the mini reviews written so far at : http://www.ukslc.org/forum/index.php?board=31.0

Mini reviews take 2 minutes at max to write and it just gives any potential buyer an idea of what they are considering buying.

A great little fogger suited to the mobile dj's and small theatrical environments.

Advantages:

+ high output for its size
+ remote control
+ relatively cheap

Disadvantages:

- short remote lead
- power cord built into the unit
- there have been problems with pumps giving up with little use.

The above mini review is of a Antari F80z, as you can see they are very small but still informative to a potential buyer. Mini Reviews can be posted straight to the forum, there is no need to email them to us first.
