This is a sound to light plug in effect from martin and is fitted standard with a 250 watt lamp and is very bright! It has a gobo wheel consisting of about 19 cobos and colours, The optics are very clear. The light uses a standard IEC connection for power and has an on board fan which is the quietest fan i have ever heard!

The light is soud to light but is computer controlled so the light does react totally different to differnt types of music and to differents parts of songs. Martin have let them selves down as they have been lazy by using split gobos which does look poor.

The martin T-rex provides a huge floor coverage! such that it could easily take the place of 4 individual moonflowers! This light would look great as a centre light for any sized light show or as pair for the centre of your rig for the dancefloor.

Another down side to the light is that it can not be controlled, if the unit had DMX facilities and a strobe i think it would be the best lighting effect known to a dj!

This light gives some of the best dancefloor coverage that i have ever seen for a unit of its size.

The unit gives excelled, wild and fast reactions to music.

Lack of control for the unit.

I would highly recommend buying these lights as they are an amazing factor that would suit any rig from a small t-bar to a huge tri-lite rig!
