The Sennheiser HD25 headphones are the obvious choice for Djs and serious professionals. They are perfect for monitoring as their design shuts out most of the ambient sound and what it doesn't block out in ambient sound it more than makes up for in power.

Its almost like being underwater when you put them on, you can't hear anything around you apart from your own breathing and you can't hear anything apart from the music when they are turned on. They are perfect for the real serious professional. They are a bit expensive at £145-150 and most people feel happy with other makes of headphone, but there are a lot of professional Djs and companies like the BBC which enjoy the benefits of the HD25.

I would strongly advise all Djs who can afford these headphones to buy them straight away as you will probably be surprised buy their performance. I feel that the whole of £145 in my bank account is well worth it as ever since I tried these headphones out I feel in love with them, they would let me DJ for many, many hours and still feel comfortable as I'm not straining to hear to the next song.
