XL Video exhibits at ABTT for the fourth year running. The company supplies the latest video equipment and services to theatre and arts productions of all types. Flexible and dynamic, XL Video's specialist theatre department offers a wealth of expertise and knowledge to anything from West End blockbusters to classic dramas, from site specific works to experimental and physical shows. At this year's show, XL's touch screen media delivery systems will be highlighted on the stand. These are ideal for easy and quick visualisation during a performance, where manual operation is appropriate, e.g. due to the free and organic nature of the artist. The operator simply touches the chosen icon to start ‘play' of a sequence or single clip of media. The system can be used with or without audio. Recent tours for this system have included Tony Robinson and Mitchell & Webb - and it has proved to be particularly appropriate for comedic performances. Also prominent at the show will be XL's high brightness projection equipment. This will be displaying custom electric masked projected shapes above the XL Video stand - from a distance of 35 metres - complete with the new generation of Barco CLM quiet running 10,000 ANSI Lumen projectors. This is a range of bright DLP projectors that are easy to locate in a theatre or arts space environments without the need for enclosures - ideal for applications where noise must be kept to a minimum. Recent and current XL Video theatre work includes Sinatra, Sunday In The Park With George, Dirty Dancing, Lord Of The Rings, Frost Nixon, Little Britain Live, Rebecca, Dancing On Ice and many more.
