Leading entertainment lighting supplier White Light will be exhibiting at the ABTT Theatre Show once again this year. The 2007 show takes place this week, on Wednesday June 13th and Thursday June 14th at the Royal Horticultural Halls near Victoria Station in London. "ABTT is the least ‘corporate' of the many trade shows we exhibit at each year," comments the company's Managing Director, Bryan Raven, "very informal, and a really good chance to just catch up with what people are doing and what their needs are rather than just talking about new products. That makes it a very enjoyable couple of days, and we look forward to seeing as many people as possible there." Which isn't to say that White Light won't have products on show, of course: a selection of the latest equipment from the wide range of manufacturers for which White Light is the exclusive UK distributor, including Robert Juliat, LSC, Look Solutions, Rainbow, ELC, LDDE and Wireless Solutions, will be on display. Amongst the highlights will be the new Redback dimmer pack from LSC, a compact six-channel 10amp digital dimmer rack available in 19" rack mount form either as a 2unit high (rear mounted connectors) or 4unit high (front mounted connectors) version. The rack offers a variety of features not normally found on dimmers at its price point, including programmable minimum and maximum levels and dimmer curves for each channel, a soft-patch facility and on-board support for five scenes with fade times and four chases with speed control. White Light will also be showing the SeaChanger colour engine, a dichroic colour mixing system designed to be fitted to ETC's ever-popular Source Four profile spots. Winner of a number of awards in America, the first SeaChangers to be used in the UK were recently supplied by White Light to the Royal Opera House, where they have already proved to be enormously successful and popular. "We will have one final product on show," adds Bryan Raven, "designed to help theatre productions overcome a major problem they will face once the ban on smoking in public places comes into effect next month - while saving them money at the same time. We're not going to say too much more, but visitors should make sure they see exactly what White Light's John Simpson is smoking during the show....." White Light will be on stand 24 in the Lindley Hall at the 2007 ABTT Theatre Show.
