Scattered Media has published visitor figures for their inaugural networking forum, EvenTech Scotland 2008. Confirmed first-show attendance reached 520 visitors across the two-day event – 4% up on original predictions – which took place in Glasgow’s Marriot Hotel in February. Scattered Media director, Darren Brechin, commented, “We are confident in the evenTech model and these figures back up our extensive research. We created a small and intimate networking forum, based around exhibiting companies and a networking evening – where real and focussed business discussions would take place, unhurried, within the decision makers’ region, with solid and lasting relationships forged for the future.” Exhibitors at the event expressed great satisfaction with the calibre of attendees the regional forum attracted, with 97% stating that the quality of visitors had met or surpassed expectations. Crestron Scotland’s Peter Brown, confirmed, “This show has brought a lot of good and worthwhile visitors. We’ve been busy and made contacts with consultants and end users – there’s good potential at these events.” Whilst Fibre Optic Systems’ Gordon Addison, added, “This first show is great. They’ve done a good job of getting qualified people through the door. There’s a good feel to the show.” With the model tested and proven, the focus is on EvenTech Singapore (June 25-26, Singapore EXPO) and EvenTech Ireland (November 18-19, RDS, Dublin), which promise to deliver the same calibre of business contacts in those regions. Confidence is high as exhibitors continue to register their stands for the upcoming forums. Confirmed at EvenTech Singapore include DAS Audio, FBT, MI Pro, d&b audiotechnik, Proaktiv Systems and Trek Tech. Exhibiting at EvenTech Ireland include CUK Audio, Unusual Rigging, Lift Turn Move and Conscape and Zest Audio.
