pg_wirless_on_page At the London Guitar Show 2007 on the 27th to the 29th of April, Shure Distribution UK, distributor for Shure, QSC Audio, Phonic, Sound Devices and Radial will be showing of the latest innovations in professional audio from its progressive brands on stand 198 at London's ExCel.

Following the massive turnout and incredible success of the last four years, The London Guitar Show has moved venue from Wembley to one of Europe's largest exhibition centres, London's ExCeL, for an even bigger and better 2007 event.

Many visitors will be keen to explore the latest range from Radial Engineering. A Canadian based company, Radial specialises in the field of direct boxes (both passive and active) along with various sound recording and instrument interfacing devices.  Typical applications for direct boxes are connecting electronic instruments such as guitar, bass, keyboards or drum machines to a PA or recording system.

Radial products on the Shure Distribution UK stand will include the J Series and Pro Series direct boxes, signal splitters, isolators and the JD-7 re-amping devices. Radial products are now used by musicians and engineers worldwide, with patrons including guitarist Kirk Hammett of Metallica, Joe Perry of Aerosmith and blues guitar legend Buddy Guy.  Radial is also an instrument of choice for discerning sound engineers who employ Radial products on stages with artists such as Chic Corea, The Electrik Band, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, Tina Turner and Lionel Ritchie.

Connect your guitar to amplifiers up to 500 feet away with the Radial SGI that comes complete with transmit and receive modules that connect using a balanced XLR cable. The Radial SGI also features active Class-A circuitry with DragTM control load correction for the best audio quality and transformer isolation to eliminate hum caused by ground loops. Enhance your guitar tracks with real amp tone with the X-Amp from Radial; it is a 100% Class-A active reamper that can drive two guitar amplifiers from a pre-recorded dry track allowing you to re-record with altered tone, added tracks and effects. An active level control lets you dial in the perfect signal for your amps. X-amp is also transformer isolated to eliminate ground loops.

The appeal of wireless is obvious, it allows you to roam free across the stage. It's never been easier to go wireless and sound like a pro. Shure's Performance Gear Wireless brings the superior sound of Shure Microphones together with innovative setup features in easy-to-use packages. Performance Gear is the perfect system for performers on the go who need worry-free performance. Bodypack systems include the Guitar System for guitar and bass. With the touch of a button, the PG1 receiver's automatic frequency selection function finds an open channel from among the 90 frequencies on board. Then with a single touch, an infrared link provides automatic transmitter setup, so even beginners can have their PG Wireless up and running, interference-free, in no time. All PG Wireless systems are built to Shure's legendary standards of ruggedness and reliability. The PGX wireless microphone systems are the next step up from the PG Wireless and combine uncompromising wireless technology, automatic set-up features and legendary Shure microphones to deliver the best-sounding, easiest to use systems in their class.

Also from Shure on stand 198, the KSM microphone family represents versatile, rugged studio condenser microphones for precise vocal and instrument reproduction. The KSM are designed to catch accurately the widest variety of sound sources.

Another product set to attract a lot of attention at the London Guitar show is the The Helix Board 18 FireWire.

This is one of Phonic's superb mixers that sound great and work hard both in and out of the studio. The mixer features a FireWire interface that can individually stream up to 16 independent channels of audio to the computer and return two tracks for monitoring, all at screaming fast transfer rates of up to 24-bit/96 kHz with a near-zero latency. An onboard 24-bit digital multi-effect processor provides 16 popular programs plus one main parameter control; tap delay and foot switchjacks. Mini stereo and stereo RCA inputs and outputs make the addition of digital and analog playback and recording devices effortless, while trim control makes record out level matching trouble-free. Additional features include three Aux sends, two stereo Aux returns, input and output solo, two true subgroups and a rack mounting kit.
