Robe UK enjoyed an exceptionally busy ABTT 2006 show - the up-beat, highly social two day event was held at the Royal Horticultural Halls in central London, attracting a wide cross section of those engaged in the UK theatre and performing arts industry.

"It was definitely busier than last year" says Robe UK's Sales Manager Ian W Brown, adding that "The quality of visitors was excellent, the atmosphere friendly, relaxed and the general pace of the show was very conducive to spending a decent amount of time talking to people"

Robe showcased a selection of its moving light and LED products for theatre and performance markets, including the new ColorWash 575 Zoom and the LEDWash 136LT, plus its ColorSpot and Wash 250 and 575 AT range.

The ColorWash 575AT ZOOM  includes all the features of the popular ColorWash 575AT and is enhanced with an extremely smooth linear motorized zoom, ranging from 8 to 50°. The great advantage is a much wider light output, making the fixture suitable for all types of live applications. It's expedient size make it ideal for smaller spaces, while its brightness ensures it can cut in the larger venues. 

This fixture attracted immense interest reports Brown - its 8 to 50 degree zoom with flat beam field throughout making it ideally versatile for theatrical style applications.

There was also plenty of interest in the new ColorSpot 2500AT high powered, narrow field projector and the LED Wash 136LT.

Ian Brown worked the stand alongside Robe UK's Bill Jones, with both of them constantly busy throughout the show's opening hours. "People are so much more aware of the Robe brand than in past years" says Brown.

Robe's LEDWash 136LT is the first in a completely new line of LED moving heads from Robe and a powerful moving head with 36 1 Watt LEDs offering colour mixing with a virtually unlimited selection of shades and hues.  Featuring all the quality engineering and robustness for which Robe is renowned, the LED Wash has 12 red, 12 green and 12 blue LEDs and a pre-programmed white. With electronic dimming from 0 - 100%, effects include high speed strobing up to 25 FPS and the ability to strobe in any colour combination.

Apart from these new fixtures, there was also plenty of interest in Robe's existing range of moving lights, which are becoming increasingly important for long term installations, venues and touring theatrical markets.

"ABTT 2006 definitely proved itself as an ideal forum for meeting potential new clients including LDs, technical managers, programmers and specifiers" concluded Brown.
