nuqgroup3_lr The Prolight + Sound show, held in Frankfurt from 28th to 31st March, will see the European debut of NuQ, the latest addition to Turbosound's comprehensive range of professional loudspeakers.

NuQ systems are fully integrated, networkable sound reinforcement packages designed for portable professional audio applications. They are offered either as digitally self-powered units or as discrete loudspeakers used in conjunction with optimised Turbosound controllers and power amplifiers. TurboDriveTM software gives reliable real time, intuitive control of Turbosound controllers and powered loudspeakers individually or over a network.

NuQ systems make exclusive use of advanced neodymium magnets, low distortion rotatable high frequency waveguides and pre-bent plywood construction to provide the highest possible performance, flexibility, handling and reliability. Early production units have already been extensively road-tested and proven by Britannia Row Productions with David Gilmour and the Fratellis.

NuQ systems are offered in different sizes and output capability according to application, providing consistently high audio quality with similar voicing between models. The ultra-compact 8" passive 2-way NuQ-8 delivers 124dB max SPL, while the slightly larger 10" passive 2-way NuQ-10 clocks in at an impressive 127dB max SPL. The larger 12" 2-way NuQ-12 and 15" 2-way NuQ-15 are both switchable active/passive cabinets delivering 133dB and 135dB respectively.

All two-way enclosures feature wide dispersion rotatable Converging Elliptical WaveguidesTM for smooth and even room coverage, as well as symmetrically shaped quasi-trapezoidal cabinets that allow them to easily double as monitor wedges. Two complementary low frequency cabinets provide sub-bass support: a compact 15" front-loaded bass enclosure and a powerful 18" bandpass subwoofer. Both are equipped with flush handles, corner protectors and pole mount sockets for all portable corporate and audio-visual applications.

Digitally self-powered variants of all models are also available, offering exactly the same consistently superb performance from fully integrated, optimally matched Class D amplifier modules with 96kHz sample rates, operating at better than 90% efficiency.

Turbosound will exhibit with its newly appointed German distributor eas GmbH on booth A42 in Hall 8.0, and with its Austrian distributor dBLux on booth J53 in Hall 8.0. Also on display will be the TCS Compact series installation loudspeakers products which feature contractor-friendly options such as multiple colours and finishes, 100 volt line transformers, IP54 weather resistance and comprehensive rigging options including OmniMountTM compatibility.

The award-winning Aspect® TA-890 concert touring system and the wider dispersion TA-500 will spearhead Turbosound's approach to the German market, fresh from European outings with David Gilmour, Roger Waters, the Feeling, Kings Of Leon, Fall Out Boy, Imogen Heap and Primal Scream.

Turbosound will hold product demonstrations in the demo room ‘Esprit' in the foyer of Hall 9.1 each day of the show in German and English.
