The entry level version is the S5.3 which operates up to 12 simultaneous channels in nine banks within an 11MHz window (854-865MHz). Computer monitoring software comes as standard so users benefit from realtime system status. The S5.3 is already being recognised as a versatile performer and is proving particularly popular with semi-pro bands and theatre productions. The S5.5 system caters for larger projects and can simultaneously operate up to 24 channels in ten banks within its 35MHz window (830-865MHz). Fully interactive PC monitoring via a USB port controls all aspects of performance including a frequency download function, RF and AF monitoring, and transmitter battery status. Based on Trantec's award winning S6000 series widely used throughout theatre and broadcast, the S5 benefits from high quality, true-diversity operation utilizing credit card size beltpacks, frequency autoscan, in-built Infra-red data link, single AA battery life of over 10 hours, intuitive LCD displays, and professional metal enclosures for both transmitter and receiver. Trantec's Sales Executive, Mark Parkhouse says, "Our aim with the S5 is to bring multi-channel professional wireless within everybody's reach. Competitively positioned as a mid range product, the S5 Series promises a powerful set of features normally associated with systems at four times the price. Yet again Trantec has taken wireless to a whole new level and, being available in both handheld and lavalier versions, it combines substantial performance capabilities with practical flexibility to suit venues of any size." System prices including either handheld or lavalier mic start at £450 (srp ex VAT) for the S5.3, and £650 (srp ex VAT) for the S5.5.
