phw-265 Futurelight have announced a new series of fully-featured, integrated wireless DMX/W-DMX moving heads which are available in the UK through exclusive distributors, DiFuzion (along with a Wireless DMX transmitter).

The new range, which incorporates the gamut of features along with integrated wireless receiver, includes the PHS-265 Wireless DMX (250W Pro-Head Spot with seven dichroic colour filters, seven static and seven rotating gobos); PHW-265 (250W Pro-Head Washlight, with standard CMY plus an additional colour wheel with colour correction and UV dichroic filters); PHS-1200E (1200W Pro-Head Spot with electronic ballast); PHW-1200E (1200W Pro-Head Washlight, with variable colour temperature correction via CTO-filter, standard CMY and a variable beam angle from 11 - 45 degrees); and finally the shortly to launch PHS-1400E (offering unbeatable light output from a 1200W Pro-Head Spot).

Difuzion's new business development manager, David Stewart, says that this moving head offers 30% brighter output, with an animation wheel that includes fire, water, cloud and rain effects. It is expected in the UK by the end of November.

wds-1 Also coming into the UK is the new WDS-1 Wireless DMX Transmitter, which supports one universe of 512 DMX channels (larger systems can easily be adapted to support up to 8,192 DMX channels).

Explains David Stewart: "Wireless DMX is a technology to control many DMX devices without any cables or to bridge a distance between sender and receiver. W-DMX is interference-free from other wireless devices in the 2.45 GHz band such as W-LAN."
