Avolites launches the latest in its popular series of pearl consoles - The Pearl Tiger – at PLASA 2007.

The Pearl Tiger is a powerful, streamlined 10 roller playback version of Avo’s famous and most popular ’live’ lighting console.

It offers everything the LD, programmer or operator needs for quick and easy programming of small to medium sized shows …. with all the power, ease of use and versatility of a full sized Pearl.

Aimed at a wide range of sectors and applications, the Pearl Tiger is equally suited for small theatres, conferences, schools & colleges, small to medium scale productions or production companies, tours, venues and nightclubs.

The Pearl Tiger is fully show compatible with all Avo Pearls and shows can effortlessly be loaded and swapped between these consoles.

Also featured at the show will be the new ‘D4 Infrastructure’ products – specifically Avo’s Showsafe system; the Tablet PC for remote desktop control and the D4 Pilot Parallel control.

Showsafe

This is a completely independent backup system for the Diamond 4 and Pearl Expert consoles. In the event of the unexpected ….. the operator can switch to a complete backup of the show running via the Showsafe outboard engine.

Tablet PC Remote Desktop Control

This has been used extensively over the last couple of years on tours and events including Coldplay, Justin Timberlake and a current blockbuster movie being filmed at Pinewood. The Tablet PC allows full remote wireless access to all the D4 console’s functions from anywhere in the venue. Utilising WIFI, it offers the freedom to walk around, update palettes and edit any console data fully remotely.

D4 Pilot Parallel Control

This addresses the more frequent requirement for TV lighting directors and DOPs to have direct control over a selection of fixtures for key and camera lighting. The D4 Pilot is simply plugged into the USB port of the D4 and any group of console playback can be accessed – giving dual control of selected fixtures.

The Avo stand will also highlight its Pearl Expert console - a new high performance version of the industry’s most popular console – more submasters, more flash button and more power - optimised for use on larger and more demanding shows and events.

The Diamond 4 Elite and Vision, Pearl 2008 and Azure consoles will also feature prominently at the show.

On the dimmer front is the full range of Avolites Art2000 Touring and Art2000 installation dimmers.

Avolites will also open its famous Caipirinha Bar for the last hour of the show, complete with belly dancing .. and there will be a special champagne press launch of the Pearl Tiger at 4 p.m. on the Sunday.
