Fine Art Professional, UK-based supplier of high end moving head luminaires, has recently supplied an inventory of its flagship Fine 700 Wash lights for the Race of Champions event - via production company, Jedi Management. The event was hosted at London's 75,000-capacity Wembley Stadium for the first time following a three-year stint at Paris' Stade de France.

Originally conceived in 1988 as the ultimate shoot out between international rally stars, Race of Champions is a world-class sporting event. The world's best circuit racers and off road racers - including Michael Schumacher and Jenson Button amongst the sixteen in the final line up - compete for the ultimate title of champion of champions. As such, broadcast across the UK and Europe by Sky and France by XXXX, it attracts a vast small screen audience.

One of the service tunnels and access points to the stadium track was transformed in the major hub of off-track activity: the televised interview area. In this area, lit by 30 Fine Art 700 Wash lights, all drivers were interviewed before and after their pivotal moments on the track.

The Fine Art 700 Wash is the perfect choice for television lighting. It provides variable colour temperature correction as well as the electronic ballast necessary for flicker-free filming with television cameras.

Jedi Management's Andy Baldwin, commented, "The production went really well, particularly given the very tight timescale within which we had to turn it around: from getting the job, to the day of the build. We've not found anything as reliable or quick as the Fine Art products - the heads give very, very quick tracking, whilst being smooth and quiet. They are incredibly versatile and Sky Television were very happy with the effect and the end result."
