Aljunied, who was also the programmer and operator for the show, reported: “To make the show interesting, I used the grandMA video media server to control 46 units of Barco Mipix-20. The grandMA light controlled all the lighting fixtures as well as the media server. Last year I used a grandMA for the first time and since then it has been my choice of console. The flexibility, reliability and robustness are the best I‘ve ever seen.” The grandMA video media server allows for the use of 32 layers. It’s also possible to reboot or shutdown all connected MA mediaPCs centrally from the grandMA and to switch to the Pixel Mapper mode from the console. Furthermore the Sniffer-mode offers the control of 254 grandMA video stations from one grandMA. The grandMA video media server is a fully integrated part of the grandMA network system and not just triggered via DMX. This has many advantages. Not only a minimum of setup and configuration is required due to bi-directional communication between the console and the grandMA video software, but also the grandMA console allows for direct access to the server. The lighting rig for the show comprised of 16 x Vari*Lite VL3000 spot, 12 x Vari*Lite VL3000 wash, 6 x Vari*Lite VL1000AS, 6 x Vari*Lite VL2500 spot, 10 x Color Kinetics ColorBlaze, 10 x Color Kinetics ColorBlast, 6 x City Color 1800 and 2 x Martin Atomic 3k. SCM Singapore and Audio Resources Pte Ltd delivered the lighting equipment.
