kunstlinie_almere_2629_ukslc.org.jpg Ampco/Flashlight Group companies TM Audio, Team Projects and Lightco have seen their innovative work at the new Schouwburg Almere in Holland honoured by Installation Europe magazine, which has named the project Best Auditorium in its 2007 Awards.

The main audio contractor was TM Audio, with project manager Reinier Bruijns in charge. The XLNT MCR (Multi Channel Reverb) software, allowing the room's acoustics to be varied at the touch of a button, runs on a Peavey MediaMatrix Nion hardware platform and was written by sister Ampco/Flashlight Group R&D company Team Projects, with the sound system design essentials by Cees Mulder.

It drives a Martin Audio W8LM line array proscenium system, Martin Audio and XLNT Bassbeam subwoofers and a KEF/Shure MCR network, with a Yamaha MC7L console.

The installation was carried out by another Ampco/Flashlight Group company, the installation and maintenance company Engine.

Sister Ampco/Flashlight Group sales company Lightco supplied the ETC lighting consoles and sine wave dimmers for the project.

The overall technical installation project was coordinated and overseen by Dutch theatre consultants Theateradvies BV.

The award is the group's second Installation Europe Award, following the accolade in 2005 for the Kursaal Ostend.

Marc Kocks, Managing Director of both TM Audio and Lightco, said: "We're very honoured that this installation has won, which reflects the ability of Ampco/Flashlight Group companies to work as one coordinated team for complex projects like this."
