Fine Art Are Turning Heads With Reliability Following a very successful field trial, The Sound and Light Company, based in Huddersfield, have committed themselves with enthusiasm to the Fine Art UK range of moving head luminaires, having bought four each of the flagship Fine 700W washes and profiles for their current hire inventory.

The Sound and Light Company’s Production Manager, Andrew Pickersgill, explained his decision: “I’ve not got anything like [the Fine Art luminaires] at the moment in terms of reliability. Normally by now moving heads would be in bits or have little faults with them after six months of constant hire use – but the Fine Art lights are superb, not a thing wrong with them – they’re brilliant.

“The quality of the lights is fantastic and they’re reliable – really reliable – and they’re bright. They just tick all the right boxes basically.”

The Fine Art 700W profile and wash luminaires benefit from the strong efficiency of OSRAM HTI short-arc lamps coupled with the Italian-designed and manufactured multi-coated reflector, as well as a highly -efficient electronic ballast. Modular in design, for fast and simple updates, the moving heads take advantage of dual-flag CMY colour mixing in varying degrees to generate any colour in the visible spectrum.

The Fine Art luminaires have replaced The Sound and Light Company’s out of date moving head hire stock and have immediately back filled the current work rota: A fashion show at Halifax’s Victoria Theatre followed closely by a run of The Witches of Eastwick, at Huddersfield’s Lawrence Batley Theatre.
