 With the 2008 Olympic Games to be held in the Chinese capital, Beijing next summer, a series of sporting events entitled ‘Good Luck Beijing' began in July of this year to mark the final, year-long countdown to the Games. One of the most high profile events was the HKSAR 10th Invitation Cup Eventing Competition in Hong Kong and Lighthouse Technologies and the leading LED media design company Demiurge Unit were delighted to take part in it.Held at the equestrian venues in Shatin and the Beas River Country Club on 11th and 13th August, the event was divided into 2 classes for international competitors and Hong Kong riders to compete in dressage, cross-country and jumping. It was also part of the celebrations to mark the passing of a decade since the establishment of the Hong Kong being a Special Administrative Region of China. Featured prominently at this high profile event was the Multimedia Information Systems Tower (M.I.S.T.) which has Lighthouse 6mm LED technology. A versatile ‘beacon' that can project static and moving multimedia information, with adjustable shapes, applications and network, the M.I.S.T. with Lighthouse R6 panels provide extreme clarity, even when viewed at very close range, and a wide viewing angle to maximise its impact.  The M.I.S.T. was designed by Demiurge Unit executive creative director and LED Artist, Teddy Lo. Fully supported by Lighthouse Technologies, the M.I.S.T. has already won several awards, including 2006 Hong Kong Awards for Industries: Innovation and Creatively Award organised by the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and the Solid State Lighting Award from China's Solid State Lighting Association. Demiurge Unit has also recently won the 2007 Award For Innovative Entrepreneur.
