Almost 50 attendees got to see and try out some of the most popular equipment from lighting, dimming and control manufacturer ETC recently, when Spanish distributor Stonex held a training and demonstration event at Barcelona's TTE (Taller de Tecnología del Espectaculo, or theatre technician training school).

On the first day of the event, the lighting designers, producers, technicians and freelancers present worked with  visualisation software; while on the second day, they experienced many of ETC's products, including the Source Four Revolution® moving light, the new Source Four® EDLT lens tubes and the Source Four 14o , 70o and 90o  field-angle versions. Participants also demoed ETC's Smart SolutionsTM range of dimming and control products - including the compact SmartFade® and SmartFade ML desks, SmartBar dimmers, and SmartStand - as well as the ETC CongoTM lighting control system.

"It's easy to see products in a catalogue or magazine," explains Ezequiel Nóbili, ETC product manager at Stonex, "but that's nothing compared to trying them out. This is the second time we've held a demonstration and training session like this, and we've had some great feedback from the people there. There was a great vibe round the room, which was gratifying after the month of planning that we put in."
