More lighting designers have added their names to the list of those supporting the second annual Light Relief Day, which takes place on Thursday April 24. From overseas, Ken Billington is donating one day's royalties for Chicago and High School Musical, while closer to home pledges of a day's royalties have come from Neil Austin for Gone with the Wind, Guy Hoare, Aspects of Love tour, David Kidd, the tour of Peter and the Wolf and Hugh Vanstone for Spamalot. Since Light Relief was founded in 2002, beneficiaries have included such well known names as Paule Constable and Mark Ridler: Light Relief Day is just one way that the entertainment industry supports the charity. It's still not too late for individuals or companies to join Light Relief Day 2008 - just contact Rick Fisher, the charity's co-founder, at rickfisher1(at)mac.com.
