Jigsaw Systems, the UK supplier of hi-tech equipment, consultancy and design services to the creative audio-visual and IT industries, have become dealers for Prism Sound in the UK. "We've been Pro Tools dealers for six years, so we've been aware of high-end Prism Sound interfaces such as the ADA8-XR for some time — our high-end Digidesign customers have often asked to be supplied with them," explains Rob Holsman, Audio Solutions Consultant for Jigsaw at their headquarters in Nottingham. "However, when the new Orpheus Firewire audio interface was announced at the Frankfurt Musikmesse last year, we realised that Prism Sound were now making products that we would be selling regularly to our project-studio and MI customers as well."

Representatives from Jigsaw contacted Prism Sound after the Frankfurt show, and the supplier became a dealer late in 2007. Since inking the agreement, the deal with Prism Sound has exceeded expectations, as Holsman explains: "We've had interest in Orpheus from many different types of customer, including the serious recording musicians and producers we expected, but also from professionals in the broadcast, audio restoration and archiving industries, and even those working in audio forensics. The combination of Prism Sound's high-quality analogue-to-digital and digital-to-analogue converters with the convenience of Firewire interfacing is a very attractive combination.”
