Futurist Projects Limited has announced that it has sold its rental business to Leeds based businessman Neil Hudson.

Futurist’s Managing Director, Michael Lister said: ”having relocated permanently to Portugal nearly two years ago, we now feel the time is right to hand over the reins of the Futurist business. I have been involved with Futurist for over fifteen years, and my wife Dawn for over twenty years, so it’s certainly time for a big change. We would specifically like to thank all our customers for supporting us over the years and we now look forward to spending more time on our training and property development businesses and with our three young children. We wish Neil and his new team every best wish for the continued future success of the firm.”

New owners, Neil and James Hudson commented: ”We are delighted to have purchased the Futurist hire business. It’s a great brand with a vast theatrical history and we intend to specifically market the dry-hire and events business within the region. The company is in great shape with an extensive and up-to-date product range, and we will be holding a series of events to show off our new facilities within the next couple of months. We intend to expand the audio department of the business and also promote the events and production service.”

Futurist’s offices and warehouse are currently being relocated to a new central Leeds facility and details can be found on the company’s website.
