Recently celebrating its 10th anniversary, Bandit UK continues to grow and develop. With touring clients as well as television, corporate and special events, Bandit UK is consistently raising the bar in the entertainment lighting industry. Below is a sampling of Bandit UK's most recent projects. Bandit Lites UK is supplying the current Bryan Ferry UK and European tour with full lighting production and crew - this marks Bandit's first tour with the acclaimed UK artist, whose dynamic hit-making career stretches back to the 1970's. Lighting Designer for this tour is Graham Feast. Bandit also worked with Production Manager, Jason Danter, on the project. The design scheme for this tour includes plenty of shadows, contrasting effects and richly saturated color looks. Travis Lighting Designer, Matt Jensen, teamed up with Bandit Lites UK for their current tour, promoting the new album, "The Boy with No Name". Jensen created a crisp, clean style for this show - essentially a theatrical vehicle with some contemporary twists - including lots of soft washes and iris focuses. Bandit Lites UK recently wrapped up a nationwide theatre tour with lively rockers, McFly. Lighting design was created by Dan Hardiman and Production North's Iain Whitehead produced the tour. For their most recent tour, INXS hired Bandit Lites UK to supply full lighting production, video projection package and touring crew. Lighting Designer, Sean ‘Motley' Hackett collaborated with the band to create a ‘chromatic' feel, with some projection upstage center and to encompass the very best of ‘classic big rock lighting' looks from the last 4 decades - utilising current technology. Lighting for the Girls Aloud "Greatest Hits" tour was designed by Peter Barnes - an aficionado of the genre. Girls Aloud is one of several projects that Bandit and Barnes have worked on together, including Westlife and X-Factor, among others. Lighting is being directed and operated on tour by Andy Hurst. Bandit is working with legendary lighting designer, Marc Brickman on Country Music Singer/Songwriter, Keith Urban's tour. In 2006, Urban was voted CMA's Male Vocalist of the Year for the third year in a row. His tour, "Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy Tour" includes shows in Europe, Australia, Canada and the United States. Bandit Lites UK recently supported the European leg of the tour. The alternative rock band, The Smashing Pumpkins has reunited for the first time since 2000 to support their latest album, Zeitgeist. Bandit Lites UK is supporting their current tour, which began on May 22, 2007 in Paris, France and includes several festivals throughout the summer. Travis Shirley was lighting designer for the European leg of the tour. Bandit Lites UK is again collaborating with Lighting Designer, Tellson James and Production North, for G4's current sold out Farewell UK tour, production managed by Sarah Hollis. James keeps the looks and color mixes simple and uncomplicated, maximizing impact and seamlessly integrating the lifts, drops and broad dynamics of the set. Grammy Award- winning American Rock band, The White Stripes kicks off a world tour for their sixth studio album, "Icky Thump." The European leg includes several festivals as well as full-productions. In their first outing with the White Stripes, Bandit is working with innovative Lighting Designer, Susanne Sasic. VL500's, Mac 2000's and Martin Atomic 3000 Strobes & changers played a key role in the edgy, intense lighting design. Bandit Lites UK recently supplied the popular Best Disco In Town UK theatre and arena tour. Ewan Cameron was asked onboard to program and direct the show on tour, which starred soul giants and disco divas from the 1970s, all of whom shared the same backing band. The key to lighting this tour was selecting specific multi-purpose equipment that would allow for different designs for each artist. The Ultimate Fighting Championship recently brought the world's leading mixed martial arts sports association to England and Ireland. For the European events, long-time UFC Lighting Designer, George Smith collaborated with Bandit UK Chief Executive, Lester Cobrin to provide lighting equipment and technical support. Bandit Lites UK recently collaborated with Lighting Designer, Jonny Gaskell to complete the Lloyds TSB Bank corporate event, held at the O2 Arena. This was the first event at the new 20,000-capacity venue built within the old Millennium Dome in London. The 2007 UEFA Cup Final was played on May 16, 2007 at Hampden Park in Glasgow, Scotland. Bandit worked with Event Designer, Julian Marks to light the post-match awards ceremony. Bandit was awarded this contract after the successful service and support at the FA Carling Cup Final earlier this year. Bandit Lites is currently working with Lighting Designer, Chaz Martin on John Fogerty's summer gigs supplying full lighting production for the Wembley Arena show and a modest package for the European festival run. Tony Bennett is an American singer of popular music, standards and jazz who is widely considered to be one of the best interpretative singers in these genres. Bandit and Lighting Designer Vance Anderson recently collaborated on Bennett's annual stint at the world famous Royal Albert Hall. Bandit Lites is currently on tour with American Gospel and Soul singer, Al Green. LD is Simon Michalak and his design spec includes 120K of Par 64's and 18 Martin MAC 2000 Profiles. William "Smokey" Robinson, Sr. is an R&B soul singer and songwriter. Robinson is noted for being one of the primary figures associated with the Motown record label, second only to the company's founder, Berry Gordy. Lighting Director for this upcoming UK tour is Ewan Cameron. Bandit Lites UK continues their longstanding relationship with the WWE organization by recently supplying full lighting production and crew for the TV shows that took place in Milan & London, as well as three European touring systems all at the same time. WWE Production Designer, Jason Robinson lights the entire arena and audience for TV with a different conceptual approach for each show. For Milan & London, Bandit supplied 8 lighting crew to rig and maintain the three main featured areas consisting of the entrance (traditionally the standard end-on stage location in the venue), the central ring, as well as the walkway in between. Bandit is contracted to supply full lighting production and crew for the 3rd year running at this years ‘Live at the Marquee Festival' in Cork. Lighting Designer for the event is Dave ‘Biccy' Lee. This year's line up includes The Who, Lionel Richie, Duran Duran, Status Quo, Madness, Slayer, Faithless and Flaming Lips, plus many more.
