Supernova technology is based on advanced film technology which involves nine separate micro thin layers to absorb ambient lighting. Since these optical screens filter out unwanted reflections, Supernova is able to deliver this quality even in broad daylight. The full suite of five Supernova products - which are purpose-designed for specific professional applications - is now available in the UK and Ireland through the Danish manufacturer's exclusive distributor Paradigm Audio Visual. Said Paradigm's Greg Jeffreys, "This technology has evolved considerably since the introduction of the original Supernova One. We now have a solution for all markets - from conferences, home cinema and exhibitions to retail and portable offices." Supernova One The original Supernova One features an optical lens system that focuses and concentrates the projected light before reflecting it back towards viewers. A patented contrast enhancement filter also absorbs diffused light from windows and room lighting. Optimised for high gain, this unique combination of new technologies actively enhances both image contrast and brightness - resulting in up to ten times higher contrast images (with twice the brightness) of traditional front screens. Higher contrast and greater brightness translates into more vivid colours and more detailed images, even in broad daylight. dnp has also focused on the product's aesthetic value, providing a stylised brushed aluminium or black velour-finished frame, and black velvet masking. Supernova One is available in standard sizes (offering 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratio) up to 120in. Applications: Meeting rooms, boardrooms, conference centres, exhibition, home cinema, 3D and virtual reality, digital signage and high ambient light classrooms and lecture theatres. Supernova Infinity Launched at this year's ISE Show in Amsterdam, the modular, expandable Supernova Infinity offers unlimited screen size possibilities. The modules are made using precision CNC cutting, and held together by a series of powerful magnets. It provides a seamless viewing experience with no disturbing lines between the modules to break up the image). Already ISF-certified, Supernova Infinity permits soft-edge blending - with no visible overlap when using multiple projectors to create bigger images, and opens the door to unlimited resolution. Easily assembled, it can be expanded to any screen size required. In addition, the ± 80˚ half-gain angle ensures a superior off-axis image which can be viewed regardless of where the viewer is seated. The framework is constructed in uniquely-developed aluminium system and the bezel is also available in a black flock material finish. There are options of floor stands or suspension kits. Applications: Large venues where ambient light has in the past prevented the use of projection. Examples of such venues are advertising hoarding in shopping malls, large conference or lecture theatre environments as well as large scale exhibitions. Supernova Core Supernova Core provides a large, high-quality screen with a reduced investment cost. The screen comes rolled into a stretch, veloured frame that is easy to assemble, as metal rods slip into pockets sewn in on the back of the screen. The rods and adjustable hooks on the back of the frame connect to enable it to be hung rigidly on the wall. By enabling users to assemble the screen themselves, the dnp Supernova Core provides all the benefits of Supernova Screen technology in an economical frame construction. The Supernova Core comes in a variety of sizes up to 120in, complete with a black flock frame and straightforward assembly instructions. Applications: As for the Supernova One but particularly useful where the access to the point of install is restricted or for projects where the budget does not support a low labour high capital cost. Supernova Flex The Supernova Flex Screen combines superior image quality, minimal space requirements and ease of installation. Like the other fixed Supernova screens, the Supernova Flex Screen delivers an astonishing ten times higher contrast and two times brighter images than standard front screens. And since the entire screen is retractable, it amalgamates the exceptional Supernova image quality with a discreet and stylish presence. The Supernova Flex Screen is suspended by thin wires and blends perfectly into the environment. When the screen drops down it appears as a picture frame without the usual ‘black drop' common to other screens. Even when in use the Supernova will be unobtrusive and blend into the environment. Supernova Flex Screen is offered in a variety of options including a special stainable suspending wire, which can be painted to match the wall for a near invisible installation. When not in use, the new flexible screen disappears into a stylish wall mounted enclosure that compliments modern interior designs. The dnp Supernova Flex Screen is available in 4:3, 16:9 and cinemascope format in sizes up to 100in - providing a greater visual experience than any other flat screen. Applications: Home cinema or projects where the screen needs to be ‘invisible until needed'. Supernova Mobile dnp have launched an advanced portable front projection screen in 40in and 80in (4:3) versions, that is quick to set up and conveniently rolls up into its lightweight metal case for easy transport and storage. Exceptionally high contrast, vivid images in a handy, portable format makes the Supernova Mobile ideal for situations where viewing locations and conditions change. Outfitted with high-contrast filters that absorb ambient light, the Supernova Mobile delivers extraordinarily clear images even in brightly lit environments. Complete with foldable supports to mount the screen (either on a table or the floor), and a metal case for storage, the Supernova Mobile can easily be taken along for use in various locations. It fits in a car and is ideal for the sales rep on the road. It is also convenient in situations where wall space is limited or where a permanent fixture is undesirable. And it's perfect for locations with several rooms, not all of which need a permanent screen. After unfolding the built-in supports, the smaller 40in screen unrolls horizontally and stands on a table, while the larger 80in screen is unrolled vertically and stands on the floor. Supernova Mobile is intended for use with a table-mounted projector. Applications: Exhibitions and any non-permanent installations - or possibly permanent installs which need a retractable screen but not a motorised version.
